emerson
damian vergel

Emerson (he/him), is a colombian performer, creator, and facilitator, graduated from the Dance Program at Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá (ASAB) and from the MA in Physical Theatre at Accademia Dimitri in Switzerland. His artistic practice engages with Theatre, clown, traditional Colombian dance, Salsa and improvisation to explore physicality as a poetic and political active territory.

70%

70% is a physical and unpredictable performance that explores the tension between control and surrender, through a shifting game between the performer’s body, objects and the audience. Oscillating between resistance, exhaustion and play, the piece raises questions around social success, the overexploitation of the body, and our relationship with memory and nature. Emerson Damian Vergel.

giulia tornarolli

Dancer, choreographer and teacher with a multidisciplinary practice, Giulia began her career after graduating from SEAD Salzburg and collaborates internationally with various personalities of the field, both on stage and on screen, including Panorama Dance Theater, Edivaldo Ernesto, Martin Kilvady, Milan Tomašik, Alexander Vanturnhout and Christof Loy among others. Through her creative work, rooted in improvisation, she explores physical storytelling, navigating themes of exposure, fragility and self-expression. She also leads movement workshops dedicated to physical awareness and stage presence.

lay next
to me

LAY NEXT TO ME unfolds as an intimate portrait of Ruth, a woman caught in the endless pursuit of doing, producing, becoming. Child of a time that glorifies speed and achievement, she accumulates gestures and experiences in the attempt to fill a void that only grows larger.
Through an essential physical language the piece traces the fragile border between action and being. A reflection on our relationship with time, regret, and memory and an invitation to
look at time not as a threat but as what it is, a perpetual stream of moments, each precious in its own right.

deva
schubert&

chihiro araki

Deva Schubert is a Berlin-based choreographer and dancer whose work centers on the exploration of the voice. Combining dance, installation, and digital media, her pieces have been presented internationally, including at Haus der Kunst Munich, Kunsthalle Zürich, and Sophiensäle Berlin. Her award-winning work Glitch Choir (ImPulsTanz Young Choreographers’ Award 2024) continues to tour in diverse formats and variations. In 2025, she presented her first solo exhibition, Silent Spills, at Kunstraum Niederösterreich in Vienna.

Chihiro Araki (she/her) is a performance artist based in Berlin. After training at The Tokyo Ballet School and earning BA from Rambert School in London, she has danced with Carte Blanche and Johannes Wieland Company, as well as for Alban Richard, Jenny Beyer, Helena Waldmann, Meg Stuart, Lina Gómez, Sergiu Matis, Jule Flierl, Ixchel Mendoza Hernández, Deva Schubert, Chiara Bartl-Salvi, Hanako Hayakawa and musical artist Pan Daijing.

glitch choir

A “glitch” describes a disturbance in the transmission of digital information, such as a distorted image or a stuttering video. It creates a rupture in the perception of reality. Can grief also be understood as a glitch in that sense?
The performance Glitch Choir translates the moment of digital disturbance into the analog space through voice and body in order to recompose a lament. Historically, public mourning practices were long carried out by so-called “Klageweiber.” These women were commissioned to give emotional expression to the grief of others for the deceased. At the same time, the act of lamentation became a vehicle through which their voices could be heard, that otherwise had little presence in the public sphere.
The performance draws on this tradition of public lamentation. From mouth to mouth, the performance unfolds an intimate space of multiresonance. Can grief, within this temporary community, become a collective glitch? What kind of choir emerges from the dissonance of frequencies?

alphonse eklou uwantege

Sagittarius queer, born in Minsk to a Rwandan mother and a Togolese father. Alphonse (they/them) is a model, performer, and director based in Brussels.
Their practice uses the body as a tool, writing as a weapon of resurrection, and performance as a political urgency. Their method relies on the desire to subvert the norms of representation and the relationship between spectators and performers by disrupting scenic spaces.

In the first part of their triptych, reste(s). Alphonse develops their artistic research around transgenerational traumas, invisible memory, and colonial transmissions in a solo dedicated to their uncle, Alphonse Kanimba, who was killed during the Tutsi genocide in April 1994.

Alphonse is currently pursuing this exploration in the second part of the triptych, questioning migratory inheritances and the silences imposed on diasporic identities. Through traditional and contemporary movements, their family's languages, and documents as witnesses of erasures and resistances, they interrogate the fractures and reinventions linked to displacement.

restes (offrande au million)

reste(s)
is a ritual of tribute to my uncle Alphonse Kanimba,
who died during the genocide of the Tutsis,
one day in April 1994,
reste(s)
speaks of transmissions, this mortuary legagcy
that we did not choose,
yet which imprints itself on the living.
reste(s)
of a name, of a story,
of a genocide,
of a trauma,
of a wandering soul
that cannot find its way out.
In this solo, it is about origins
and those familial ties that support us but sometimes become unvearable.
reste(s)
offers a reflection
danced, spoken, whispered
on the dialogue with those ghosts
who haunts us,
on what we choose to reclaim
or leave behind,
on the stories passed down to us
despite ourselves.
But this "us", where does it truly lie?

This event is a platform to share every unique style and celebrate dancing together. We’ll challenge your musicality, reactivity, virtuosity, authenticity, and groove. As Top Floor, we’re adding a special twist: every tie in a one-on-one battle will be resolved through a duet composition. Instead of battling against each other again, the dancers will be invited to create with each other, transforming competition into collaboration. The finalists will also face one last challenge: joining forces to create a final duet together. The All Styles Battle is not only about showcasing individual skills, but also about listening, adapting, connecting, and discovering what can emerge when different dance languages meet.

Come and let’s put the dancefloor on fire!

A provocation from

TROPICO           INTENSO

Provocadores - Trópico Intenso (Nelson, Daniela, and Aunt Ruth).
Open to everyone to dance, cook, and eat together.

SOPA SOUND SISTEMA

Born under the scorching sun of the intense tropics; it is a declaration of intentions.
It presents itself as a sound and social provocation that challenges the conventions of the traditional party through a bold and deliberately eclectic fusion.
An unusual *tropi-set* (music set): the nostalgic and sincere curation of playlists from the "aunties," guardians of cumbia, meneito, salsa, merengue, and classic dance tunes that never go out of style, alongside the mixed music brought by new or dynamic generations.
With this encounter, we create a bridge where the popular meets the underground.
But the experience isn't limited to the ear. The ritual is completed with the preparation of a **meal in a communal pot*, together with member of Trópico Intenso, a shared brew that symbolizes the group’s unity. As the music flows between the old and the new, the attendees participate in the creation and consumption of this delicacy, transforming the act of eating into a gesture of collectivity. In "Sopa son sistema" (Soup is a System), the organized chaos of the tropics becomes its own system, where family music and the electronic scene drink from the same pot.

We will dance while we cook with nostalgia, with the rebellious and the new, among different cultures. Bringing what the southern hemisphere brought to the dance studio, because we learned to dance—while being around Family, and we were around Family while being around food.

hein?

A character enters into space, and then another one. On one single diagonal, walking backwards, they seem to be living in a parallel, rather absurd universe, where everything seems in order, even if nothing is.

Sounds and gestures are their way of communicating : footsteps create the rhythm, rainjackets create the music. They try to be together somehow, according to their own rules.

Travelling through many landscapes, under a changing and erratic weather, the characters invite the public to come along their journey. The piece offers an overall listening space, full of the sounds that the characters produce themselves or that they react to. Mixing fiction and reality, absurd and poetry, sharp choreographic vocabulary and space for improvisation, this duet opens up a door for an unusual stroll … under the pouring rain ?

throwing like a girl

Throw like a girl, climb like a girl, hit like a girl, run like a girl... It’s going to be all about throwing and projecting the injunctions that weigh upon our female bodies. The performance takes as a starting point, the philosophical essay of Iris Marion Young and becomes a practice that shapes the body through dance, sculpting it with the encounter of a harsh asphalte environment.
Throwing words against the walls, projecting movements that will scatter, be transformed, and sometimes echo.

Our bodies will become territories of pleasure, a playground where we manipulate these injunctions.

...The ground of modernity is one that has been colonised, levelled, bulldozed – a space where the fantasy of infinite, self-sufficient mobility unfolds...”
– Lepecki, Intro to Exhausting Dance.

Andrés's work explores percussion in the context of experimental music and improvisation. Dance, experimental music, sound poetry, and performance art. These elements create a world suspended between certainty and uncertainty, where intimate stories, born in the uniqueness of the moment, become universal. Abstract figures and grotesque, earthly presences emerge; an embodied folklore invites us to smile. Everyday gestures bring simplicity, and a drum calls out to the present.

lois 0

Between hiding and revealing, two bodies traverse the experience of being two, of
shared solitudes and sparkling exchanges.
A voice that becomes one and divides, that climbs to light and descends to the abyss.
Disguising oneself to enjoy the transformation and asking: what kind of body do we
inhabit today? How does metamorphosis bring life and sharing open to beauty?

burning paradise

A woman? A road pirate?
Or a rabbit frozen in the headlights of the car about to hit it?

BURN OUT PARADISE explores the parallel between automotive burnout and burnout syndrome as voluntary and involuntary accumulations of energy. Through the physical hybridization of urban and contemporary movement languages, in dialogue with live sound material, the project addresses solitude as a decisive, individual moment - suspended between the choice to surrender and the choice to fight and move forward. The work adopts a nonconformist approach that expresses resilience, hope, and renewal.

The devil is everything that is not God, everything that stirs the body: the blues, llanero singing, rock, jazz, yaraví, bomba, cumbia, reggaeton, salsa—everything that is unleashed, the black and the Indian, the cholo, that which awakens the subterranean melody, that is to say, what is seditious within, what rises up. And we must hear this insurrection […] it is there that we find the new listening that will liberate our body from the empire of beauty, that is to say, what will offer us a new way of thinking and a new sensibility.

SOBRAN

Driven by the devilish rhythms of Cumbia, Sobran is a ritual of reparation that blends mourning and joy in a single gesture.

The five dancers lean into the void left by those who have disappeared, to rekindle memories within their bodies and to shake the weight of injustice.

In conjure with the mothers/ seekers of Latin America, they defy oblivion through vibrant collective dances; thunderous cries and songs of joy; an invitation to uprising and an end to resignation.

Unsubmissive, they shatter the boundaries between themselves to serve a collective need; a profound beat that resists impunity, a surge of pleasure in the face of violence. Everywhere, all the time.

Sobran is a raging breath of fresh air for the right to know and to enjoy.
