SOPA SOUND SISTEMA
Born under the scorching sun of the intense tropics; it is a declaration of intentions.
It presents itself as a sound and social provocation that challenges the conventions of the traditional party through a bold and deliberately eclectic fusion.
An unusual *tropi-set* (music set): the nostalgic and sincere curation of playlists from the "aunties," guardians of cumbia, meneito, salsa, merengue, and classic dance tunes that never go out of style, alongside the mixed music brought by new or dynamic generations.
With this encounter, we create a bridge where the popular meets the underground.
But the experience isn't limited to the ear. The ritual is completed with the preparation of a **meal in a communal pot*, together with member of Trópico Intenso, a shared brew that symbolizes the group’s unity. As the music flows between the old and the new, the attendees participate in the creation and consumption of this delicacy, transforming the act of eating into a gesture of collectivity. In "Sopa son sistema" (Soup is a System), the organized chaos of the tropics becomes its own system, where family music and the electronic scene drink from the same pot.
We will dance while we cook with nostalgia, with the rebellious and the new, among different cultures. Bringing what the southern hemisphere brought to the dance studio, because we learned to dance—while being around Family, and we were around Family while being around food.

hein?
A character enters into space, and then another one. On one single diagonal, walking backwards, they seem to be living in a parallel, rather absurd universe, where everything seems in order, even if nothing is.
Sounds and gestures are their way of communicating : footsteps create the rhythm, rainjackets create the music. They try to be together somehow, according to their own rules.
Travelling through many landscapes, under a changing and erratic weather, the characters invite the public to come along their journey. The piece offers an overall listening space, full of the sounds that the characters produce themselves or that they react to. Mixing fiction and reality, absurd and poetry, sharp choreographic vocabulary and space for improvisation, this duet opens up a door for an unusual stroll … under the pouring rain ?
